History

Termotécnica Coindustrial, is a company which has reached milestones in Colombian engineering. It has also stood out for being one of the first national companies to carry out projects with wide scopes in different areas both nationally and internationally.

It was founded in 1960 with the objective of carrying out the preventive and corrective maintenance on Coltejer’s and Fabricato’s water tube boilers, specializing in mechanical, electrical and instrumentation engineering. However, nowadays, Termotécnica Coindustrial is recognized for its outstanding participation in projects within diverse sectors such as oil & gas, construction, energy and others.

During the 70s, it became the first national company to carry out assembly projects overseas, with the development of the Pisayambo hydroelectric plant in Ecuador. In the same period, the Company took part in the construction of the balance unit of the Ecopetrol refinery located in Cartagena, which sealed its entry into the oil & gas sector.

In 1980, the Company participated in the Antioquian Electrical East Expansion Plan through the construction of the San Carlos, Calderas, Playas and Jaguas hydroelectric plants. By 1987, it began doing the maintenance of the National oil pipeline owned by Ecopetrol.

During the 90s, its activities leant towards the development of new services in the oil & gas industry, such as field operation and associated production.

From 2.000, it has broadened its line of business to the construction of roads and participation in important road and airport concessions.
